My fiance found Pratima Design when looking for platinum engagement ring designers. Not only were they a close local business on Maui, but able to work with him on the exact design he had in mind for my engagement ring. The ring turned out more beautiful that I could of ever imagined! And when I finally got to meet Thomas and Kristina in person, they were warm, friendly and just as excited for us as I was. We loved their work so much we had them make a custom wedding band that fit into my custom engagement ring. They have also become a family jeweler, with my brother in law creating a custom wedding ring for his wife, and my mom using them to redo her engagement ring and creating a custom wedding band as well. Venting about a bad experience is so much more common than singing the praises of a good experience. I can say that I am 100% guilty of that. However, my experience with Christina at Pratima designs was so outstanding, I had to share it publicly, albeit for the first time in my life.

I purchased a Pratima design ring to commemorate my great vacation memories on Maui as well as the recent birth of my daughter. I had some special requests to customize on an existing Pratima design. Of course, having made the entire transaction via telephone and emails between Christina and I, not all the specifics I had in my own head were translated into the ring. Don't get me wrong, the ring was beautiful as delivered, I just wanted one more thing. Christina was not only patient in translating the ideas in my head into the ring, but also very gracious in every exchange, offering options for how my ideas could be achieved. The final product is exactly as I imagined it.
Such a wonderful couple!! My husband and I went to Maui recently to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we met with Christina and Thomas to design a ring that incorporated my engagement diamond, a sapphire I bought 30+ years ago on Maui, and a new stone. The whole process was smooth, professional, friendly, and FUN! Thomas came up with a creative idea, worked up the design and emailed it to me while we were still vacationing. The ring arrived right before the New Year, and I could not be more satisfied. I love Pratima Designs not only for their designs, which are beyond beautiful and well made but genuinely unique and custom. Christina worked with us when we had some sizing issues and was so patient. Their work is so amazing as is their service. A rare find in this day and age of mall jewelry stores everywhere, not to mention the internet...you never know what you are getting. I trust Pratima. I noticed that on the certificate sent along with the ring we purchased, it noted that they use 100% recycled materials as well as diamonds from conflict free sources.
