Amazing glass blowing experience - very welcoming and watched a large piece be blown from start to finish. Due to mobility challenges unable to get upstairs to viewing gallery so sat downstairs right in front of area where they worked. VERY HOT location however they provided water! Visit of a lifetime!
Wow, loved this venue!! We saw several of their pieces for sale in Lahiana and elsewhere. I fell in love with the "Beaching Whale" which I now display prominently in our home in Utah!
My wife and were recommended to Makai glass from a competitor. When we got there and met randy we were totally captivated by his artistic vision not withstanding his quality of work. We actually left and came back a little while later and made a substantial purchase. My wife and I are museum quality collectors and Randy's piece will fit right in with our other pieces. I wish I could rate randy higher than 5 stars. Concerning the previous rating where he said expensive. You get what you pay for.
You can go stand out on top of the shop and watch them actually making stuff out of glass. It was really cool to see. They have a really cool gallery where you can see all sorts of cool things they have made. I recommend it as a must see.
Second time buying here, first time was custom order shipped to mainland, this time was off the shelf and flew home with us. Both experiences were excellent. Highly recommend.
